Trails

Squam is the perfect location for hikes, nature walks, observing wildlife, and skiing. Much of this can be experienced from the house, but, if you need more, there is plenty close by.

East and West Rattlesnake Mountain trails are within walking distance of the house.
Beede Falls is a beautiful waterfall hike only a 5-10 minute drive from the house.
Cotton Mountain is a great beginner hike just a 10 minute drive from the house.
Waterville Valley and Gunstock Ski Mountains are less than an hour’s drive.

Water

There are many actives that can fill up each day that take place in the clear lake water. In addition to all the swimming, fishing, boating, and paddling, there are water cruises that tour Squam Lake.

There are many different cruise experiences, from private tours to guided tour groups to sunset dinner cruises.

Squam Lake Restaurant + Marketplace is a local stop in Squam Lake were one can grab a sandwich along with groceries.
